2018年1月25日 · The Electronic Disability System (eDib) is a Social Security Administration (SSA) certified and accredited Major Application consisting of several sub-systems. The goal and purpose of eDib is to provide foundational information technology to deliver high quality, citizen-centered service in support of SSA’s disability claims process.

The electronic claims analysis tool (the “eCAT”) is an internet application that the Social Security Administration (“SSA”) uses. The purpose of the eCat is to document a disability adjudicator’s analysis to ensure that all SSA policies are considered during the disability adjudication process.

Place the documentation in the eCAT Claims Communications or DCPS Case Notes section of the Disability Determination Explanation (DDE), or on an SSA-5002. This documentation is important to evaluate fee.

Forms incorporated in electronic tools, such as the electronic Claims Analysis Tool (eCAT), contain OMB approved form language. Documentation that is completed in eCAT becomes part of the Disability Determination Explanation (DDE) uploaded into the CEF.

In December 2009, SSA’s Commissioner announced eCAT’s national rollout to all Disability Determination Services (DDS) and SSA Federal units that process initial disability claims.
