Welcome to ECHA CHEM

ECHA CHEM is ECHA’s new public chemicals database launched in early 2024. Initially, it includes data that companies have submitted in their REACH registrations. Over the coming years, ECHA will gradually transfer the data it makes publicly available from their current location (Search for chemicals) to ECHA CHEM.

The first version of our new Chemicals database, ECHA CHEM makes available information from all REACH registrations received by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). See for more information on the transition to ECHA CHEM.

2024年2月22日 · The first version of ECHA CHEM includes information from more than 100,000 REACH registrations. Database users can search for registered substances using any chemical identifier, including European Community (EC) number, Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Registry number, and chemical name.

On January 30, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced the launch of ECHA CHEM, its new solution for publishing information on chemicals. ECHA maintains the largest chemicals database in the European Union (EU), combining industry-submitted data with information generated in the EU’s regulatory processes.

2024年2月16日 · To better manage the growing amount of information and make it available to the public in a user-friendly way, ECHA has launched the ECHA CHEM database. The first version of ECHA CHEM contains information from all the more than 100,000 REACH registrations that companies have submitted to ECHA.

This is unique source of information on the chemicals manufactured and imported in Europe. It covers their hazardous properties, classification and labelling, and information on how to use them safely.

As the EU’s chief regulatory body for the safe and sustainable use and advancement of chemicals, the ECHA controls the use of chemicals within the European Economic Area and acts as Europe’s leading source of chemical information.
