The Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q) is a 28-item self-report questionnaire, adapted from the semi-structured interview, the Eating Disorder Examination (EDE). The questionnaire is designed to assess the range, frequency and severity of behaviours associated with a diagnosis of an eating disorder.

The EDE-Q-13 would demonstrate good construct structure for a five-factor model: Eating restraint, Shape and Weight Over-evaluation, Body Dissatisfaction, Bingeing and Purging (using confirmatory factor analysis [CFA]). Total and subscale scores of the EDE-Q-13 would correlate strongly with the original EDE-Q total and subscale scores.
