You probably haven't heard Eico made a reel to reel, but if you know, you know...this is a very hard to find piece. Unit has been tested and operates. Comes with extra belt, and folder with schematics and info.

2014年5月11日 · I built an earlier Eico deck that uses miniature eye tubes for record level indicators. It also had 3-motors with DC braking. I don't recall a tape breakage issue on fast wind start-up.

2018年10月31日 · Anyone remember the Eico rp-100 tape deck, from 1961? It was a transistor, 3 head, 4 track/2 track stereo unit. I had one as part of my first system, along with my AR table. Did a really nice job, allowing me to record and learn classical music from an all classical station (on my Dynatuner) in NY City, while taking such a course in college.

2024年12月8日 · I have acquired an EICO RP-100 Reel to Reel recorder. When new , this unit was Highly rated by Julian Hirsch of High Fidelity magazine. Its a transistor model except for 2 tubes in the oscillator. This is the newer model with the round VU meters that can play both 1/4 track and 2 track tapes.

2005年9月5日 · Actually the Eico was probably better than most of the other decks. If my memory is correct it is a hybrid unit; has 3 motors ,3 heads, sound on sound, dynamic braking,etc. It rewinds and fast forwards faster than any other deck I have used. I don't think they are worth much but they are definitely worth fixing if you like reel to reel tape decks.

2014年1月15日 · I have the original build manual from EICO and suggest you obtain one as well. (You wrote you have some, but it wasn't clear if you have the RP-100 manual.) That will be key.
