In this document I hope to uncover the details and caveats associated with EIGRP stub routing and how you can use it to affect the scope of the query domain. Stub routing can play a critical part in scaling EIGRP to larger networks as it can directly help to reduce the chance of routes becoming ' Stuck in Active ' when they converge.

Of course I can redistribute static routes with eigrp stub connected static summary but I read the feature eigrp stub-site. This is a brand new switch and I configured eigrp on it. I cannot even remove the stub command: SW1(config-router) #no eigrp stub connected summary. EIGRP is restricted to stub configurations only on this platform.

Maybe if you can paste the output of debug eigrp packet terse. My take is follows: 1. An EIGRP stub router would never receive a query from neighbors regardless if the downed network is being advertised by a neighbor or not . 2. A neighbor to a stub router would queue a query to the Stub for a network it owns, but would not send it to the Stub.
