Thoughts on Elan - SailNet Community
2007年3月30日 · I have not sailed on the Elan but they generally appear to be a step up from the Beneteau Oceanis and 'number' series. The boat that I looked at was a couple year old 40 footer and not part of their Impression series. I am a big fan of …
Elan 37 review - SailNet Community
2013年12月3日 · FWIW, I've sailed on a 2004 Elan 40, which is quite similar to the Elan 37, and the boat was very well built and extremely competitive under IRC in San Francisco Bay. I believe it won its IRC class in the Rolex St. Francis YC Big Boat Series at least once, and was regularly at the top. Routinely raced in big breeze (25+ knots) and quite tough.
SAGA YACHTS - SailNet Community
2004年12月6日 · The fit and finish is top flight to say the least. I currently live aboard and have logged just a few blue water trips including CA to Maui and return. Other boat designs I like include the Elan and the Tartan 4100. What are your thoughts on the Elan 40 and the Elan Impression series? How would you compare the Elan product to the Saga product?

Captain Q, Yacht Hunter on Youtube | SailNet Community
2020年12月12日 · Hey, I was fumbling around on youtube the other day (looking for information on the Dehler 38SQ, Salona 380 and Elan E5, but that's another story) when I came upon a whole bunch of videos by 'Captain Q'. They are surprisingly good. It seems like he wanders around marinas and storage yards and...
Small Cruiser Guide? (Hunter, Rhodes, Catalina, Beneteau, Elan ...
2014年10月28日 · Is there a good comparison and/or buying guide for small trailerable cruisers? I have the below list of boats to explore, as I begin a search for a first overnighter for a family of four. I'm looking at new boats, but willing to explore used versions (and previous versions) of some of these; in...
Depreciation Rates? | SailNet Community
2006年5月18日 · I'm guessing that the 40.7 cruised would have a significantly lower depreciation. I also don't really know, but in terms of what I was interested in a boat that in truth is more day-sailed than cruised, the price-performance (no pun intended) of a Beneteau First beat the price-performance of a generic Beneteau.
Freedom 40/40 - SailNet Community
2008年2月25日 · The 40/40 is a fine and innovative boat and with the unstayed rig and camber jib it is very simple to sail. Certainly for Lake Ontario one would be well suited and a nice boat to own. But if you plan to sail further afield you should note some limitations: The mast is 67' high making the East Coast ICW off limits for you.
A List of ALL sailboats made with layouts? - SailNet Community
2003年9月29日 · Two examples are the Valiant 40 by Perry which was built at the Uniflite factory in Arlington Washington for awhile and is now built in Texas, and The Gulf 32 by Garden which was built by Gulf Marine in the 60''s and later built by Capital in the 80''s and 90''s.
Gozzard 31 vs Pacific Seacraft 31? - SailNet Community
2010年4月22日 · I was able to get up to 40 degrees off the apparent wind with the 130, with the staysail furled. Then I tried just the staysail, and I could pinch to 32-34 degrees. I dropped boat speed but the upwind difference was palpable. Of course the genoa sheets run outside the shrouds and the staysail sheets run to the coach roof. Fwiw. Elan
