The Original All Electric Three Wheel Commuter Vehicle Introduced in 1996, the Sparrow is reborn for the new Millennium

The microcar concept was gaining traction, but the Sparrow wasn’t for everyone. Enter the prototype Merlin… a single passenger Hotrod Roadster.

A recent sunny afternoon seemed like a good time to take the Sparrow out for a little putt and see how things are holding up. Mike took her down highway 25 south which is a popular road with local motorcyclists.

As we mentioned prior, electric vehicles are all about efficiency and the most visual component that contributes to the Sparrow’s efficiency is it’s patented aerodynamic design. This slippery design punches a clean hole in the wind and exits the air mass with very low drag.

Upswing Door. Sparrow uses a single upswing door on the sidewalk side of the vehicle. This design allows the door to open fully even when parked close by another vehicle in a packed lot.

A limited number of Corbin Sparrows will be released in 2017 as part of a Beta Test Program. We will begin accepting applications mid-late June 2017.

The Sparrow dream is still alive. Mike began the process of the latest Sparrow by converting his original model (Car #100) to an all new modern drivetrain and battery pack. This is the running gear that powers the newest offering.
