The Trust Board is made up of ten Non-Executive Directors including the Chair, and nine Executive Directors including the Chief Executive. Our Chair is Eileen Taylor. She is the Joint Chair of ELFT and the North East London NHS Foundation Trust.

ELFT provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, the London Boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and to Bedfordshire and Luton.

Eileen became Chair of NELFT on 1 January 2023 and this is a Joint Chair role with East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). She joined ELFT in November 2018 and was Vice Chair since October 2020, then Acting Chair from April 2022. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of MUFG Securities EMEA, plc.

The Trust was pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Wheeler as a new Non-Executive Director. She joins the Trust Board from 1 January 2021. Deborah was formerly the chief nurse at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust and is now retired.

NELFT Chair (Joint Chair with ELFT) Eileen became Chair of NELFT on 1 January 2023 and this is a Joint Chair role with East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). In October, the Boards of ELFT and NELFT came together to explore how we can not just survive but thrive during challenging times, and how to emerge with better quality and outcomes. Our focus was on how, as Boards, we can improve our practices to achieve this.

To underpin the ongoing work of NHS IMPACT, a National Improvement Board has been set up which will bring together Executives, Directors, clinical leadership, and expert improvement science input from across the NHS landscape.

Our next Trust Board Meeting will take place on Thursday 27 March 2025 at the Conference Room, Trust HQ, 9 Alie Street, London E1 8DE. Our meetings usually start at 13:00 and are scheduled to finish around 16.00, followed by a teatime presentation on People Participation. Future meetings will take place: Thursday 22 May 2025 Venue TBC.
