Elva produced a single-seater car for Formula Junior events, the FJ 100, initially supplied with a front-mounted B.M.C. 'A' series engine in a tubular steel chassis.

This Elva 100 FJ, with chassis number A200 L110-684, has a long racing history in the United States and has been restored retaining much of its originality. Power is from a 994cc BMC-derived racing engine and is equipped with twin SU carburetors, which retain their original Rytune intake manifolds, as well as Rytune velocity stacks.

Frank Nichols’ Elva 100 was one of the most successful British Formula Junior designs. Elva was one of the first UK manufacturers to embrace the formula, providing Bill de Selincourt with a landmark victory at Cadours, France in September 1959, the first occasion that an international FJ race had been won by a British car/driver combination.
