Jun 18, 2007 · The Unimat 3 is nice hobby lathe. Be aware that the motor is rather under rated, and not designed for 100% duty cycle. You'll notice that many that have used Unimat for extended work periods have be forced to replace failed motors, usually mounted to the bench.
