Once the [Lv100] Ender Dragon spawns, 5 Ender Crystals will spawn in any of the 10 fixed locations. Each crystal connected to the dragon heals it for 0.3% of their maximum Health every second. Every tick, there is a 10% chance that the dragon re-calculates which crystals should be connected or not.

There’s a bit of misinformation going about, so initially the ender dragon in the recent atm9 doesn’t spawn. You have to initiate it manually with placing crystals on 4 bedrock/obsidian single tiles in each arm of the structure. It should then summon and break each of the obsidian towers to form the healing spires.

I destroyed the end crystals while flying around and attacked the Dragon who ignored me.
