Ebixa 10 mg Tablet is a medicine that contains Memantine. It is used to treat Alzheimer's disease (a progressive brain disorder that destroys memory and other mental functions). It works by blocking the action of a chemical substance and decreasing abnormal activity in your brain.

Memantine belongs to the group of medications known as NMDA receptor antagonists. It is used alone or with other medications to treat people with moderate-to-severe Alzheimer's disease. Memantine does not cure Alzheimer's disease, but it is used to decrease the symptoms.

Memantine (marketed as Ebixa) is the newest drug treatment currently available in the UK for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
