2020年11月18日 · So, the Surecolor F170 is basically an ET-2720. Footprint is the same, specs are the same. It has the same technology as every other ecotank printer by Epson including the ET-15000. The difference is that the F170 will be branded as a real sublimation printer, supplied with real Epson sublimation ink, and will carry a real Epson warranty.

2022年2月17日 · Sawgrass SG500 is $600. Epson F170, which is probably the closest competitor, is $399. But what about the cost of inks? Sawgrass ink is $77 each 31 mL color cartridge. Epson T49M sublimation ink is $25 each 140 mL bottle. Sawgrass uses low viscosity ink, but I highly doubt it uses significantly less ink volume than Epson to be equivalent in costs.

2021年6月2日 · I just got an Epson SC-F170 printer today and when I print something with the teal/turqoise color, it comes out dark blue. I am using a Mac and tried the color matching option in the printer dialog box, makes no difference which one I pick, still prints teal/turquoise as dark blue. All the other colors come out fine.

2022年5月16日 · I feel like I should have a backup sublimation printer on hand. I could just get another budget ET unit, but the Epson sublimation specific unit F170 seems like it might be worth investing in. From what I can tell it can generally produce better sublimation than an ET. It also gets clogged less and requires less maintenance.

2022年12月28日 · The Epson F series are actual sublimation printers, they're fairly new to Epson (been out a couple years and the first sublimation printers they've made) The et series are eco tanks and are converted sublimation printers. I've heard lots about clogged print heads, and as soon as you put sublimation ink in it your warranty is voided.
