Electric Motion (EM) added some new features to the ePure Race to enhance its performance. A top feature is the hydraulic clutch, which allows the rider to both modulate the power and load the suspension. For 2023, EM improved last year’s control switch by swapping the position of the “map” and “FRB” buttons to improve the ergonomics.

Straight from the racing department, the Epure Race is equipped with TKO, a major innovation for the rider. Now with the new TFT Screen, the rider can enable Tick Over, which enables an “idle” mode that turns the motor at a constant, sustained RPM without the throttle being turned.

For 2022, the clever French designers have also added six engine maps – three standard and three ‘race’ (two of which have TKO). Each map changes the engine characteristic and power delivery, from relatively docile and akin to an automatic 125cc petrol trials bike, to full race with clutch and TKO and more like a 300cc petrol equivalent.
