This paper presents a number of Matlab/Simulink models of Electrified Rubber Tyre Gantry, eRTG, cranes with Energy Storage Systems, ESSs and Active Front-End rectifiers, AFEs. These models simulate the power flow of an eRTG at the Port of Felixstowe, PoF. This paper through simulations accesses the benefits of ESSs and AFEs.
