Scouts - Module A
Explain your role as an ESYL for the section you're supporting. Explain how local Scouting is organised. Summarise the purpose and methods of Scouting. Explain how the Safeguarding and Safety Policies apply to you. Explain the importance of Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) and access the information within it.
ESYLs are Explorer Scouts who volunteer alongside adult leaders in a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack or Scout Troop. ESYLs may also be young people who are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards or their Queen’s Guide Award, volunteering as non-members of the Scouts for a set period of time.
Young Leader Scheme - Scouts Môn
To achieve your Young Leader Award you’ll have to complete all 11 training modules. Upon completing Module A, you’ll be awarded your Young Leader acorn badge! This can be worn on your uniform, just under your District and Area badges. Module K (First Aid) can be skipped if the YL holds one of the following:

Young Leaders Scheme Module A Badge. Module A: This is the only compulsory training module in the scheme. Its recognised with a uniform badge and a woggle. Note: ESYLs and Young Leaders volunteering from outside of scouting must complete module A within 3 months. £1.99 delivery for orders of badges and woggles only.
