2023年7月25日 · A Eurail pass only beats point to point if you're going really long distances - longer than most travelers plan to go in a day. If you're choosing rail, the earlier you book the cheaper the fare. You have to look at both options and decide what works best for you.

2008年3月31日 · Lindsey, Eurail is a consortium of European national rail companies, ship lines, and others banded together to market railpasses to non-european areas. If you buy from Eurail.com, you are buying directly from the supplier. Eurail used to set the prices for their railpasses, but they no longer do; resellers are free to charge what they want.

2021年11月1日 · The Glacier Express and the Brig–Zermatt route are now fully covered by the Eurail Global Pass (but the Glacier Express still requires a paid seat reservation). The Eurail Global Pass now grants a 50 percent discount on most lake boats, rather than covering the full fare (but boats on Lakes Thun and Brienz are fully covered by the Global Pass).

2022年10月28日 · Between the two, I use only Eurail.com. I always have the Pass mailed to me after placing and paying for the order on-line, since the paper Pass is the only form I use. No concerns about carrying the paper Pass every on the trip. Only once did I have to pay a shipping fee, all other orders were free of that fee.

A four-day standard coach pass was considerably less expensive - $279 for a senior BritRail flexipass from the ACP site, and $224 for a senior Eurail flexipass from the RailEurope site. But I couldn’t ascertain if the Eurail pass was as easy to use as the BritRail pass.

If you have a Eurail pass, it is normally good on the regionale type trains in all countries covered by the pass. 2018年1月10日 · If two people are traveling together, and want to travel in First Class, a Eurail Pass can save you some money - especially when you plan on taking some really long train rides. I suggest making any required reservations at the same time you buy the pass.

2009年11月12日 · Eurail passes only partially cover travel on Thalys; there is a big surcharge to use Thalys with a rail pass. You can often get better prices with advance purchase on the Thalys website than you would pay with a rail pass and the surcharge.
