2023年7月25日 · 'a reboot or something' is a good way to put it! A lot of the elements are the same as the first few episodes of the series. Same characters, same Evas, same Angels. However, if you've already watched it, I'm sure you've noticed some differences. Ramiel, for one, although that's really only a cosmetic difference.

2020年4月22日 · He isn’t just trying to retell the original story of Evangelion, he’s trying to revisit some of the same themes but from a different perspective, even changing some of the original conclusions he came to in the original Evangelion. I rewatched them not to long ago, and honestly Forgot how good they were, especially 3.0.

2023年7月23日 · The angels are redone, the animation quality is improved (obviously), and the Evangelion units are improved and shown off more. If anything can be taken away from 1.0, it’s that it was a massive compiling and shortening of the series, ending in the official deviation from the series at the end of the movie.

2018年1月1日 · It's the storyboard of the movie, nothing more. It was originally contained in the 1.0 CRC (no longer printed) but since khara didn't want to release the CRC for 3.0 because it would contain spoilers (presumably of the final movie) they printed the storyboard of 3.0 in a dedicated book, and they also printed the storyboards of 2.0 and 1.0 in the same format.

Honestly, you're not wrong. If you only watched the first half it would be a good show, but not infinitely amazing. Too much of the early-middle episodes are too monster of the week without conveying nearly as much thought or feeling. Not to say they are bad, but they could have been more emotionally dense, even as a setup for later events.

For the first in The Rebuilds, this was not a good start, for one the pacing was atrocious, the new animation is (in my opinion) inferior, plus the CG and wider redesign aren't very good, the action and plot despite being given more attention than the characters as supposed to NGE and EoE, the source material might be strong but its the first 6 ...
