What it DOES mean is that there is something wrong with the CIRCUIT of the Exhaust Camshaft Sensor, such as in the power supply, and the Kl. 87 Voltage suggests LOW voltage to the Sensor (see below).

2011年1月22日 · I am a newbe at this. I have determined from the code that it is an exhaust cam position sensor need to be replaced. As i understand, after reading these posts, there are 2 cam position sensors. 1 is the intake cam position sensor the other is exhaust cam position sensor. I am not very clear as to which one is where. I have a 2001 e39 (530i).
