The dual spark GS (2004 and later GS models) is almost the same as the single spark GS (2003 and earlier GS models). The only real difference is the twin spark models use a dipstick rather than a sight glass to check your oil level.
Lowering Kit FAQ for the GS - F650
It's not a *kit* as such. The whole frame is lower and different from a *standard* GS, so it's not something you can convert to a normal GS after purchase, or convert a normal GS to. The Dakar seat is the *High* seat and the normal GS seat is the *Low* seat so you can make small height changes that way to any of the F650GS range. Trevor #999

2007年3月23日 · Fuel injected F650's (GS/Dakar/CS) and G650X's have optional ABS (Anti-Brake Skidding, or Anti-lock braking). ABS is designed to reduce the risk of your brakes locking up and causing a rear or front wheel lockup. The system on the F650's is a simply two channel Bosch system - there is no linkage between the front and rear brakes.
It is strongly suggested that each retailer that has retailed a F 650 GS/Dakar model within the affected VIN range, to remove the rear wheel cover from a display model and to complete the modification to this part. F650 Airbox and Filter FAQ
2006年12月30日 · It's easer to install if one Loosens/removes the two big air plenum chamber screws, allowing the air box to move around a bit for proper alignments. I've done it both ways and I'd recommend loosening the air chamber. Any motorcycle shop can order filter for you with at the cost of about $50.00. The K&N air filter number for the F-650-GS is BM-6501.
