The 366th OSS, "Pegasus", is responsible for all airfield activities and associated support of the 366th Fighter Wing's numerous fighter missions supporting F-15SG, F-15E and Air Control Squadron operations.

The wing's newly activated "fighter squadrons" became part of the composite wing in March 1992. The 389th Fighter began flying the dual-role F-16C Fighting Falcon, while the 391st Fighter Squadron was equipped with the new F-15E Strike Eagle. These two squadrons provided the Gunfighters round-the-clock precision strike capability. [citation needed]

The 390th ECS is assigned to the 366th Operations Group and is stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington. The 391st FS "Bold Tigers" is the largest fighter squadron in the USAF, comprised of more than 450 Airmen and more than 20 F-15E aircraft.

America's Most Elite Fighter Wing. The 366th Fighter Wing has the firepower of more than 50 F-15E Strike Eagle. Additionally Mountain Home AFB hosts the Republic of Singapore Air Force F-15SG aircraft. The wing population consists of approximately 5,100 military and civilian members in addition to 3,500 family members.

As the first F-15E unit to operate from Bagram AB, the "Bold Tigers" will supply combat air power that will enhance the coalition's capability to bring order to that country. As of 2007, the wing remains on high alert ready to support the combatant commanders' need.
