2009年8月27日 · 1999 - 2016 Super Duty - F550 terrible ride - Has anyone used the Mor/Ryde system on there F550 Superduty? I just wondered how it compared to air ride. Its less than half price than air ride but I hope it is not half as good.

Our primary hesitation with the F-550 is the ride. This is primarily based upon a few mentions in RV-Dreams about a rough ride as well as the Ford dealer shared that the F-550 was not intended for distance driving.

2006年5月11日 · I have a 2002 F-550 with Kelderman rear air ride that retains the rear springs controlled from inside the cab and air bags in front. I have Utility Bodywerks elite towing bed with 7 compartments. The ride is still harsh without my 5th wheel, 2003 Teton 37', but a lot better with the trailer attached.

2009年12月19日 · The "regular" leaf spring suspension on an F550 is stiff. You could always go to lighter weight springs, but your weight capacity will suffer. Current truck: 2002 PSD 4x4, CC, XLT, F350 dually, 4.10 gears.

2010年4月7日 · It is comfortable and handles exceptionally well for an 8400lb rig. To those who own the F550, is it a comfortable rig, how does it handle towing, at highway speeds? What are the main differences between the F-250 and the F-550? I imagine the 550 has heavier springs/chassis.

2023年7月9日 · I've seen some past discussions on here about a hydraulic suspension system upgrade vs. air ride (as in, a product like Liquid Spring vs. what Kelderman offers) to soften the ride and improve handling on F-550/5500 trucks.

2024年12月1日 · I have a F550 with the "Payload Plus Package" and it is very rough riding. My understanding is that part of the package is "low deflection springs" which I believe is their way of saying "no give in the springs" and is probably the culprit. I am guessing it would ride much better without the package.
