F6NM - Metal and Metallurgy engineering | Eng-Tips
2008年1月22日 · Grade F6NM is a martensitic stainless steel. The additions of Nickel and Molybdenum, which gives it excellent sub zero notch ductility, superior to other standard 13 Cr, 410 and 420 Mod martensitic stainless steels. This steel is air hardening, with little danger of thick sections cracking during heat treatment.
13Cr and F6NM Cast or forged - Metal and Metallurgy engineering
2008年11月4日 · The forged counterpart to CA6NM, F6NM, was developed because applications using the CA6NM materials wanted higher pressures than the castings could be rated. But, to answer the original question, yes, these materials can be either cast of forged, although the material specification (and nomenclature) is usually specific to the manufacturing method.
ca6nm vs f6nm - Metal and Metallurgy engineering - Eng-Tips
2019年1月25日 · The Forged version F6NM will give you better impact resistance, due to the wrought nature of the structure.
Chlorides and F6NM - Steel and Stainless engineering - Eng-Tips
2007年8月13日 · F6NM has a small amount of Mo (0.6%) and Ni (4%). In my opinion this will give some improvements regarding corrosion in chlorides environments but is not easy to tell how much it will resist and at which Cl concentrations. It depended on …
CA6NM - Metal and Metallurgy engineering - Eng-Tips
2011年4月19日 · Try F6NM (forged): there will be some differences, but there are also differences between heats of CA6NM. It has very good hardenability, but in my opinion, a complex response to HT. (MAY respond to double tempering, cryogenic cooling , etc).
F6NM Hardness Acceptance Criteria - Corrosion engineering - Eng …
2007年8月14日 · Does nayone know where I can find hardness acceptance for F6NM for NACE MR0175 in terms of HV10 (Table A.18 of ISO 15156 only provides acceptance in terms of Hrc (23)) and the conversion factors in ASTM do not apply to martensitics.
F6NM Acceptance Criteria - ASME (mechanical) Code Issues - Eng …
2008年9月8日 · Does anyone know where I can find clear hardness, HV10 acceptance criteria for F6NM. NACE MR0175 (ISO 15156) only provides HRc 23 as the limit.
410 hardness as per NACE - Metal and Metallurgy engineering
2018年5月21日 · F6NM, or any 410NiMo (13Cr-4Ni) type, is an exception from the other martensitic grades in terms of heat treat condition, PWHT temperature, and welding preheat temperature. It can be heat treated to produce acceptable NACE hardness, with better fracture toughness than 410. In both alloys, ferrite is a bad actor for toughness.
Material Interchangebility - Metal and Metallurgy engineering
2015年2月3日 · The SA 182 F6NM material for use as forgings in excesws of 10,000 lbs (SA 336) was approved by Section III under a code case. This material is not approved for use by Section VIII, Div 1, and I have not seen any code case or record for code case as of yet on C&S Connect.
