Fallmore (Irish: An Fál Mór, also known as Faulmore) [1] is a Gaeltacht village and townland in County Mayo, Ireland. Situated in the southern part of the Mullet Peninsula within the barony of Erris, Fallmore townland spans approximately 704 acres (2.84 km 2) [2] and, as of 2011, had a population of 75 people. As well as being a great vantage point for coastal views in northwest Mayo, Fál Mór is a holy place with connections to St. Deirbhile and St. Brendan. Visitors to Fál Mór will be greeted by Deirbhile’s Twist, a granite boulder sculpture that was created as part of the Tír Sáile Sculpture Trail in North Mayo, Ireland’s largest public arts project.

Fál Mór beach is a beautiful south-facing beach, with magnificent views of Achill Island. It’s a perfect sun trap when there’s a northerly breeze blowing and everywhere else seems windy!
