In FCPS, we outline this through our Portrait of a Graduate (POG). POG includes skills that are part of five important attributes: Communicator; Collaborator; Ethical & Global Citizen; Creative & Critical Thinker; Goal-Directed & Resilient Individual; FCPS students learn about, use, and reflect on their growth in these areas.

Portrait of a Graduate and Presentations of Learning is not new to Cedar Lane, or FCPS. It has been around since 2014. This year, all FCPS schools have included POG POL in their SIIP (School Innovation and Improvement Plan). Cedar began planning for this inclusion to the plan at the end of the previous school year.

POG Presentations of Learning (POG-POL) give every learner multiple opportunities from PreK-12 to demonstrate growth toward grade-level expectations for Portrait of a Graduate outcomes. Liberty Middle School staff plans to focus on developing student’s Portrait of Graduate (PoG) skills.
