This is the list of countries by flows of received foreign direct investment (FDI). The list includes sovereign states and self-governing dependent territories based upon the ISO standard ISO 3166-1 .

Singapore ranked third at $140.84 billion, Hong Kong was fourth with $120.95 billion, and France fifth with $105.42 billion. The number one 2022 FDI outflow ranking also went to the U.S., totaling $426.25 billion. Germany came in second with $178.87 billion, Japan – third with $175.40 billion, and the United Kingdom fourth with $158.93 billion.
