Final Fantasy IX [b] is a 2000 role-playing video game developed and published by Square for the PlayStation video game console. It is the ninth game in the main Final Fantasy series. The plot focuses on a war between nations in a medieval fantasy world called Gaia.

The original iteration of Final Fantasy IX was released in Japan on July 7th, 2000. It was later released in North America on November 14th, 2000 and in Europe on February 16th, 2001. The ending theme song, "Melodies of Life", is fully translated into English. The button is used to confirm and the button to cancel.
