2017年1月6日 · I did 60 series diffs into my old 45 with the h42 4 speed box. Was a noticable improvement in cruising speed vs rpm. Bolted straight in and I had the 60 series prop shaft so I used that and slid the 40 series uj shaft into the top so had no issues with flanges

2009年4月16日 · Diffs after '74 to '78 have a different pinion flange pattern, so you would have to swap flanges. Diffs from '79-87 are 3.70:1 ratio, so those won't match the 4.11 ratio of early diffs. An pre '68 diff would be a direct drop in.

2010年11月26日 · Just curious as the the rear axle fluid capacity of my 1974 FJ45. I know my manual says 2.6qts - As im an aussie 2.5Lts..... I have had some resistance from a friends dad telling me this is wrong.... He is under the impression that the fluid level in all diff are measured to the bottom of the filler plug in the housing.

2016年10月28日 · I have a FJ45 that has been cut to resemble a 40. This model has the Toyota copy of a dana 60 diff. I have just replaced the hubs and bearings, but not sure what lubricant to use in the steering hub (c.v or birfield joint). Some say C.V. grease, others say a liquid grease (I think this is correct) Can anyone tell me what I should be using ?
