Feb 11, 2021 · I became a FN fan first, but recently have gotten into HK firearms. I think FN has the better rifle selection, while HK has some killer little submachine guns. That all aside, both brands make great pistols. Hammer fired FNX and HK's USP and P30. Most recently, the hype is the FN 509 which I personally own.

Dec 10, 2024 · I have a bunch of "real" High powers, covering every decade except the '30s, one Classic from 1950, a fair Occupation pistol from 1943, a few really nice "clones" and a couple FN Hybrids customized for concealed carry. I shoot the newer ones... I do not shoot the 1950 or 1943, at least not often. My first was a 2002, which I bought for shooting.

I like my ACOG 4x + RMR Red dot for multipurpose (target, defense, wildlife conservation management, etc) It's lightweight and you can switch between CQB or longer range seamlessly.
