The new and successful 348 cc ohv single m 60 was much cheaper and almost as fast. At the end of 1926 m50 production came to an end. This extensive and fine restored high quality four cylinder FN runs smooth and fine.
FN - Historic Vehicles
A new chain-drive M50 Four featured a new Amac carburettor and front brakes. In 1931, a Villiers 198cc, two-stroke FN model appeared. The year before, with Handley or Dougal Marchant aboard, FNs with 350cc and 500cc engines had set speed records at Arpajon and Montlhery, recording speeds up to 192.7km/h.

The M50 employed an inlet over exhaust, four cylinder engine displacing 748cc. A three speed gearbox and chain final drive were employed. The cycle parts followed contemporary practice with the emphasis being placed on comfort rather than outright performance.
