The SS192 was classified by the ATF as not armor-piercing, and in testing by FNH USA it did not penetrate a Level IIIA vest when fired from the Five-seven. SS192 is no longer being imported, and has been replaced with SS195.

FN SS192 is designed for the FN weapons systems like the: five seven pistol, p90 or ps90 rifle. This SS192 ammunition leaves a PS-90 at around 2,600 F.P.S., and about 2400 fps from a FN Five-Seven pistol. FN SS192 ammunition has a longer shelf life then the commercially available SS195LF and SS198LF due to it not having a lead free primer.

2019年2月8日 · The SS198 is the better factory ammo for zero of the FiveseveN and PS90. But my advice is to zero with ammo that you will carry. If all you can get is the AE (I refuse to shoot it), the SS197 (also reported to have QC issues), or the FN imported SS195 (not the AE SS195).

2013年2月7日 · They are both the same round, just SS198 is 100 fps faster. I prefer the extra speed. And SS192 is no longer brought into the States and is a collector item now with collector prices. Collector is right.

2009年2月16日 · The SS192 has a leaded primer, the SS195LF and SS198LF have a 'lead free' primer which limits its shelf life. The difference between the SS195LF and the SS198LF is .2g more powder in the charge of the SS198LF.
