2011年10月23日 · Does anyone have any idea where I can find the original Echo scope mounts for an FN49 or something similar to the original mounts? I have been loking for an original FN-49 scope mount since 1986, and any GOOD mount for over 10 years.

2016年5月9日 · In my research into mounts I read about a B Square mount that replaced the rear sight on the rifle top cover. I could not find one but thought I might be able to get a scout mount and modify it to fit. I tried a Mosin scout mount but it was far too wide to fit the slot on the FN49 without removing a lot of metal from the mount.

2020年3月30日 · I bought this strange "scope mount" that apparently was popular in the 70's for FN-49's with the dovetail cut out. I understand that no Venezuelan contracts were ever setup as snipers but I figured if theres no permanent modifications required, a period appropriate scope might help with my temperamental eyesight.

2010年9月11日 · There are three known types of scope bases - stardard dovetail, long dovetail, and the OIP 1955 (shown in haak48's photo). The OIP 1955 was only used on the Egyptian contract snipers. The long dovetail had limited use as well. The base in the photo below is a standard dovetail.
