The Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) chassis forms the base vehicle for all other members of the ACV-15 Family of Vehicles. The ACV-15 is a tracked (5 road wheels), lightweight, low silhouette armoured vehicle capable of high-speed operations in desert conditions, poor infrastructure, roads and/or highways.

The design is an attempt to combine the capabilities of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) and an armoured personnel carrier (APC). The ACV-15 is based on the American Advanced Infantry Fighting Vehicle, which in turn is based on the American M113A1 armored personnel carrier.

The Pars (Turkish for Anatolian leopard) is an amphibious armoured combat vehicle family with 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8 versions, produced by FNSS Defence Systems of Turkey. [5][6][7] The development of the PARS vehicles commenced in 2002, based on a design by US company GPV (General Purpose Vehicles), and in cooperation with GPV.
