The Pars (Turkish for Anatolian leopard) is an amphibious armoured combat vehicle family with 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8 versions, produced by FNSS Defence Systems of Turkey. [5][6][7] The development of the PARS vehicles commenced in 2002, based on a design by US company GPV (General Purpose Vehicles), and in cooperation with GPV.

The PARS III 8x8 can overcome a 60% vertical and a 30% side slope, climb 0.7 meters-high obstacles and cross 2 meters-wide trenches. Thanks to its unique design with its powerpack location and optimal weight balance, the vehicle has an almost equal load on each axle.

2017年7月19日 · FNSS officially unveiled the first PARS III 8×8 armoured fighting variant built for the Armed Forces of Oman in July. FNSS will deliver a total of 172 Pars III 6×6 and 8×8 armoured vehicles to the Royal Army of Oman.

The PARS 4x4 can climb 70% vertical slopes and can hold on 40% side slopes. It can also overcome 0.4 meters high vertical obstacles with ease. Thanks to the hydraulic recovery winch, located at the front of the vehicle, it has the ability to provide self-recovery when required.
