In Minecraft the FOV slider changes the vertical FOV unlike most games that change the horizontal FOV. You can test this yourself by opening a windowed instance of Minecraft and changing the size of the window. No matter how tall or short you make the window, the vertical FOV remains the same, and the horizontal FOV changes.

I use a super ultra wide and have to have my FOV in Minecraft at around 63. Otherwise, looking up and down causes the geometry at the sides of the view port to warp too much, making me feel ill. My niece (13) plays on Quake Pro, and it makes me feel ill watching her play.

2016年5月16日 · The other games you mentioned don't have that, but Minecraft does. Oddly enough, the default (and lowest) FOV for Half-Life 2 is 75, only 5 above Minecraft's default of 70. I never get dizzy, but I usually set the FOV to 70 or 75 in all the games I play. But maybe that's just because Minecraft was the first game I played, so I'm used to its FOV.

Like others have said it's 70. Fun fact: values below 70 were only added in 1.8 to help people who get "seasick" from the fisheye lens effect Minecraft uses.

2021年7月16日 · i use 100% dynamic fov, fov set at 100, 200dpi, and 30% sensitivity but i play on a small laptop screen and main 1.16 crystal pvp. i think that with speed 2 and these settings, you get a high fov without stretching the edges of your screen. for crystal pvp you kind of need a high fov as your opponent is usually flying through the air and you need to be looking at the ground …
