There are now many projects in the retro computer area that use this core. There was a lot of feedback from this area. So the core could develop very well. Many bugs could also be eliminated.

Are there 68000 or 68020 cores available for the Spartan 6? Is this a foolish path to explore? I'm very familiar with 68k assembly so I am curious what is available for FPGAs. Should I just use their microblaze cores? I have a Mimas V2 which has a XC6SLX9; pretty low-end.

2021年11月21日 · As discussed earlier, the 68020 implementation in the Minimig core on MiSTer is roughly equivalent to a 68030 at ~50MHz in processing speed. 68030 didn’t really add much on the instruction set front, and I don’t think I’m aware of any software that *requires* the 030 instruction set but does not run on an 020.

This make the loading times really fast. A plain A1200 is very slow on the IDE bus, unless you install PFS3 and add some fastram.
