We are the Gear Heads, a student led high school robotics club representing Prospect High School in Saratoga, CA. We participate in FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) as Team 2813 and are also affiliated with SWENext.

Open to students in 6th-8th grade, 2813’s student led Arduino classes are a way for middle school students to get an early taste of the skills they would learn on the team and to learn more about electronics and building their own circuits.

Team 2813 is registered as a 501c3 via our school’s Booster Club and we accept sponsorships from corporations, matching donations, personal donations, material donations, and especially your time if you decide to be a volunteer.

FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) Each year, teams of high school students with the help of mentors work during a six-week period to build robots under 125 pounds (57 kg) to compete in the game of the year.
