Pneumatics in FRC is pretty heavily handicapped by the 60PSI working pressure and other regulations; so you rarely see them used for large motions that take lots of force, like climbers and elevators.

2016年1月18日 · Team 254's Climber was a two stage hook system ( not really stages). The first half of the system is two parallel telescoping bars with static hooks. The second half of the system is two solid non-moving bars with ratcheting hooks. The telescoping arms pull the bar ( being the pyramid in 2013 cross bar) past the ratcheting hooks.
