2021年8月17日 · Final thought - the FT-817 is the most amazing radio ever produced. Certainly not the best, but just plain old amazing. So often my KX2 sits at home while my '817 is out with me for the ride! My FT-817 is heavily modded with the AGC, audio and distortion mods first proposed by a Canadian ham who's call escapes me.

2021年9月29日 · The FT-7900 is good electronically, but the FT-7900 ERGONOMICS are very poor. All those very small buttons all the same size, and each button having multiple functions depending on how long you push it, just leaves a lot to be desired.

2023年3月11日 · The FT-818 was never intended to be the latest and greatest Yaesu QRP rig, I think Yaesu would have been happy to just keep selling the FT-817ND as it was. The 818 came out of necessity due to some component(s) that were no longer available or being manufactured.

2025年1月1日 · Noise is less of a problem on very high frequency and ultra high frequency bands, though I do have a quite a bit of noise on VHF during evening hours. Digital Noise Reduction or DNR is a way of reducing noise in FT-710 radio. Digital Noise Reduction can be activated using the DNR button on the front panel near the tuning control.
