What kind of dish would I need for FTA reception?
2010年3月6日 · two problems with using the 18inch dish. First the lnbf is circular for FTA you will need a linear lnbf. Second the dish needs to be 36" or bigger. You might be able to pick up some channel's, but to get them all look for a bigger dish. A primestar dish work's well. Hope this is the info you were needing.
Dish Network satellite dish for FTA? | SatelliteGuys.US
2012年8月26日 · After dish was canceled I played with the dish , dishnetwork left behind. At that point I was not really happy with the KU stationary dish, but it gave me addition channels to my OTA. So last winter I set up a C band 7 1/2 foot BUD ( big ugly dish ) on a polar mount which gave me even more channels.

2019年7月18日 · The DISH HD dish and the larger DIRECTV Slimline are simply too small for FTA enjoyment and fitting them with an FTA LNB is a rather tall order that, because of the lack of gain of the dish, won't be very satisfying other than as an art piece.
New to FTA - Dish/receiver requirements? | SatelliteGuys.US
2008年9月27日 · the slimline dish through DirecTv is pretty much useless for FTA. You might be able to use the LNB for 101 and get a few freebies on Dish 119 like Nasa and Angel One. Also that slimline is on the small side. You would need at least a 30" dish and a KU Band LNB (the D ones are DBS & KA)
Motorized or Fixed Dish for FTA? - SatelliteGuys.US
2010年2月13日 · Absolutely! I couldn't imagine only having a single fixed dish for my home system. I keep one fixed 90cm dish to monitor the Glorystar Channels on 97W and 101W and another 90cm fixed dish for 103W (due to the non-standard skew) and a motorized 90cm with QPH-031 LNBF (circular and linear polarity) for covering KU satellites from 58W to 177W.

LNB alignment on 1.8m C-band (small FTA dish) - SatelliteGuys.US
2017年10月20日 · I installed a 1.8m Channel master offset dish to improve my FTA viewing on C Band--I liked the idea of the mini-bud. I removed the Ku bracket and fabricated new (from others, as seen on this site) that attached the flat scalar with emt box clamps. The flat scalar holds the BSC-621-2d. I used the conical scalar with some improvement.
