My 1996 GPX (2000CC V6 Manual MIVEC) handles beautifully and has plenty of speed. The acceleration does not put you back in your seat - there are definately faster cars out there - but it is more than enough, and you get some extra boost at 5500 revs when the MIVEC kicks in.
