2018年4月11日 · Pack the packing list. Yeah it might be a lot of dead weight but we do PCIs at FTX and shit. If you know that's not gonna happen take stuff out you don't need. The ruck won't be that bad just suck it up. With our full packing list it was only about 45 pounds and that's including extra snivel gear/ACH. Bring extra socks. Always have extra socks.

This happens every year to some degree. ROTC programs historically don’t have the right gear or enough. When your contracted, your program can order you a set of uniforms through klog so it gets better. Just that first FTX you have to fight for the right gear. Check with your cadre and see if you can bring a civilian equivalent.

2021年10月30日 · Hey y'all, I'm MS3 and my school has FTX next week at Fort Benning. The weather forecast is telling us we're going to freeze to death at night during that weekend. Any tips and tricks to keep our body warm(er) through the night? (other than putting on beanies and PCs while sleeping). Also this is my first FTX, but I've been to basic camp at Knox.

We created patrol bases, practiced movements l, react to contact, squad and platoon assault, opords, terrain models, and a class on 249s and 240s. Masks were supposed to be on the whole time and we got temperature checked every few hours.

2018年10月21日 · You should not ever be the only person working on the FTX. Each staff member, be it S1, S3, down to S6 and so on, has a specific role in that operation in regards to planning and execution. Figure out early how each staff member is supposed to function.

How to Prepare for Advanced Camp Without Wasting Your Time
Your experience in camp depends on your cadre: Maybe it was just 1st Reg BS, but the blue card and FTX standards differed greatly amongst PLTs. One of our cadre went all wannabe Ranger Instructor on us during FTX, which led to several cadets getting heat cat, while others actually got in trouble for giving out too many Es in blue cards.

Cadre dont grade on tactics, they grade on leadership attributes. Know the roles and responsibilities of the Squad leader, platoon leader, and PSG well for FTX.
