2017年4月1日 · Installed an Ergo Grip Pistol Grip on both. The one without a backstrap. The FX9 lower receiver will not allow for back strap pistol grips. Or at least they wont fit very well, with a large gap. Installed a PWS Ratchet Lock End Plate on the rifle. Just staked the castle nut on the pistol with a spring loaded center punch.

2018年3月6日 · My wife wanted a better trigger in here AR9 pistol and after some research even talking to rock river arms about light triggers for the 9mm and with there advise I bought a Hyperfire 24 and after confirming with Hyperfire that there trigger will work with both a normal ar15 and work well in a AR blow back design .

2024年2月25日 · I built an AR9 using all Aero Precision parts, and followed their recommendations. At first, it wouldn’t feed JHP. Aero redesigned their 9mm with a feeding cone. I returned my upper to them, and they swapped the barrel (they covered S&H both ways). Since this change, it has been 100%. It feeds everything, shoots softly, accurate - great gun!

2017年1月26日 · The only time I strayed was when I decided to buy some freedommunitions ammo (147 gr). And it literally turned my rifle into a single shot gun. Other ammo ran perfectly every time. It would not reliably cycle the FM ammo. Shot the rest of that ammo through my USP (they can eat any ammo), and went back to my normal rounds for the AR9.

2020年5月10日 · Still working on planning my AR9 Pistol Project(s). I've pretty much decided on Glock Mags. Now the question is Last Round Bolt Hold Open worth the extra money. The only AR9 that I've shot didn't have it, but I didn't really do run & gun with reloads. What say ye?

2017年9月18日 · I have seen velocities as high as 2,069 fps with the 65gr XD in my AR9 9mm PCC. My Odin Works barrel is non-ramped [I have done some research and have found one manufacturer who sells a ramped AR9 barrel, however, the bolt needs modified]. I only say this because I had about a 50% failure rate to feed the 65gr XD in my AR9 with the Colt lower.

2020年8月2日 · I deliberated over which AR9 to go with, but I eventually decided on the New Frontier Armory C5 with a 4.5" barrel. It lacks a LRBHO, which doesn't bother me. When assembling it I added a Fostech Echo 2 binary trigger and SB Tactical PDW Brace, for which I'll swap out the tailpiece for the Maxim stock tailpiece after I get my tax stamp.

2023年11月11日 · You can build or buy an AR9 rifle in California. Turners Outdoors in CA will order an Aero Precision EPC9 lower for you and they're cheap, under 200 bucks. I wouldn't bother with a AR9 pistol because the laws in CA make them boring and tedious. (10 round capacity limit and fixed magazine that can't be removed for reloads is a fun killer).
