Farhad Vareshah, Karate Identity to Iran (1966), is considered the father of Karate Iran. He is the only winner of the 10th Iranian karate and the only non-Asian non-Asian, officially authorized by Japan's control karate to create a known control karate style.

The Kan-Zen-Kai Karate-Do Organization was first established in 1968 in Iran by Soke Farhad Varasteh, Chief instructor for karate and combat karate: special forces, Iranian Arm Forces. Kan Zen Ryu was developed by Soke to create a style with no limitations or weak points.
