In this article, though, we dig a little bit deeper... “Relic’d” guitars, like those from the Fender Road Worn series, are all the rage these days.

As has been mentioned throughout this thread- all pics of this guitar show the decal looking like that. Fender has done different types of decals and it appears the Cory Wong uses the decal on top of the finish, likely as an homage to the Highway Ones it was based on.

2009年1月14日 · Most of you know one of our best customers for custom printing is Fender Guitars and we recently did two stickers for them. This is a two color sticker that says Road Worn and it's die-cut into a unique shape. We also did a four color version of the exact sticker.

2016年2月21日 · I'm guessing that it's still a decal on the RW's. The headstocks are likely sanded down after the decal is applied, and this smoothes down the edges of the decal. They are then buffed, hence the smooth, but not quite bare wood feel of the RW's. If they are printed, I'd be very surprised. I'm guessing that it's still a decal on the RW's.
