Fire and Emergency New Zealand personnel will use this procedure when communicating via the Land Mobile Radio LMR network. This document describes the procedures to follow when communicating either verbally or using the Message Signalling Unit (MSU) via the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) network.
In the next few years, PSRFMG will be working with NGCC and PSN to replace the current analogue and digital LMR networks in use by NZ Police and FENZ with a trunked digital (APCO P25 Phase 2) network. This network will support the Public Protection and Disaster Recovery (PPDR) functions of NZ Police, Ambulance NZ and FENZ.
