The basic composition of gel and the synthesis procedure were same as those of FER-pyr zeolite, while parts of pyrrolidine were replaced by cyclohexylamine for the preparation of FER-pyr + cha zeolites.

FER interacts with its coreceptors and different Rapid Alkalinization Factor (RALF) peptide ligands to function in various growth and developmental processes and respond to pathogens.
