2019年6月6日 · I just had a fiber optic cable installed at my home ("Sonic Gigabit Fiber"), which terminates in a modem which converts the fiber-optic signal to a high-speed broadband Internet connection. This modem is then connected to a wifi router (via a Cat5-E ethernet cable), and the router then puts out a wifi network.

But seriously… If you’re trying to connect from an old iPad to a Wi-Fi network that happens to have a fiber optic link to the internet, the internet link is not relevant.

If it does work, and the AirPort Extreme will not, then this confirms that the AirPort Extreme does not have the capability to connect to the type of fiber connection that you have.

2017年5月4日 · Your best bet is to keep using the Linksys router, then connect the Time Capsule to the Linksys router using a wired Ethernet cable connection. If you are willing to experiment, and have plenty of patience, we could try to get the Time Capsule working with it connected directly to the wall jack.....but there are no guarantees.

This is only happening with my new internet service and is only happening to my MacBook Pro (2017). Every other device connected to the WiFi hasn’t had any issue. I switched from Spectrum to Verizon Fios because the fast fiber optic speed is needed.
