Flag racing is a youth rodeo and O-Mok-See event for boys and girls in the United States in which a horse and rider attempt to complete a pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time.

With a long history of events contested around the nation, flag racing is a unique combination of skill and athleticism from both the horse and rider. The NFRA strives to celebrate the sport while creating more consistency across regions through the creation of unified rules and a point system which offers opportunities to competitors everywhere.

Racing flags[1] are traditionally used in auto racing and similar motorsports to indicate track conditions and to communicate important messages to drivers. Typically, the starter, sometimes the grand marshal of a race, waves the flags atop a flag stand near the start-finish line.
