I have not purchased one yet because I'm trying to to save money and converting it into a rollback or (not sure the name of this type of truck) the kind of truck that can haul cars but it is a flatbed that angles down on the rear and has removable ramps.

2018年1月2日 · They crudely cut mounting holes with a torch where it bolted to the truck frame. I am replacing the c channel with 5" x .25" plate and using the cross member bolt locations on the F750. One of the bed frame rails had broken loose from the bed due to flexing of the truck that the bed came off of. The gooseneck hitch is bed mounted.

2014年9月9日 · Most of the farm trucks around here just have 6 pieces of flat bar that come down at a right angle from the bed and are bolted through the vertical section of the c channel frame. Some of them use both wood and the vertical mounts. For a truck as new as yours, I think Ford has specifications for mounting bodies.

2002年2月25日 · I used 1.5x1.5x1/4" for the main tubes. I know it is bigger than needed but my flatbed is fairly short so I wanted the extra weight. and I used 1x1x1/8" for the top rails. and 1/8" steel diamond plate for the floor. I tis still not that heavy. I am guessing about 250 lbs or so before I put the toolbox on ond fill it with tools.
